Behind The Scenes
Our core range of products includes both wrinklewall and smoothwall foil trays which are 100% aluminium and are fully recyclable and renewable. Aluminium’s unique properties make it a perfect material for a great number of packaging requirements, while its ready recyclability makes it an excellent choice for the environment, diverting this packaging product from landfill or polluting our oceans.
At Confoil NZ, we believe sustainability is about making smarter use of the world’s resources. Few materials demonstrate the principles of a circular economy better than aluminium.
Unlike many packaging materials, aluminium can be recycled indefinitely without losing its strength, quality or food-safe properties. Every time aluminium is recovered and recycled, it remains a valuable resource that can be transformed into new packaging, automotive components, building materials and consumer products.

Compostable packaging plays an important role in creating a more sustainable food packaging industry by providing practical end-of-life solutions for applications where traditional recycling is difficult or unavailable.
Food contaminated packaging can often be challenging to recycle, making certified compostable packaging an effective alternative for many foodservice and ready meal applications. When processed through appropriate composting systems, compostable packaging can be diverted from landfill and returned to the environment as a valuable organic resource, supporting the principles of a circular economy.
